# Components:
→ Main Ingredients
01 - 1 pound raw large shrimp, peeled and deveined
02 - 1 cup long-grain white rice
03 - 2 cups low-sodium chicken broth
04 - 1 medium yellow onion, diced
05 - 1 medium green bell pepper, diced
06 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
07 - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
→ Seasonings
08 - 2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
09 - 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
10 - 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
11 - 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
→ Garnish
12 - 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
13 - 1 lemon, cut into wedges
# Method steps:
01 - Melt the butter in a large pot over medium heat. Add diced onion, green bell pepper, and garlic. Cook, stirring occasionally, until vegetables soften and become fragrant, about 4 minutes.
02 - Sprinkle Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper over the vegetables. Stir well and cook for 1 minute to release aromatics.
03 - Pour in the white rice and chicken broth. Stir to combine, scraping any browned bits from the bottom. Bring mixture to a gentle boil.
04 - Reduce heat to low, cover the pot, and cook until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed, approximately 18 minutes.
05 - Arrange shrimp evenly over the rice. Cover and cook for an additional 4–5 minutes, until shrimp turn opaque and are just cooked through.
06 - Remove from heat. Fluff the rice gently, sprinkle with chopped parsley, and serve with lemon wedges on the side.
